Mamquam River Whitewater Festival

Mamquam River Whitewater Festival was held on a sunny day in July at the Mamquam River Slalom Site. The race gates were open to everyone, there was a beginners course with Sea to Sky Kayak Centre, boat demos, a BBQ, music, and a whole lot of talk about paddling. Thanks to the Squamish Paddling Club and Mamquam River Access Society for making the event and site possible. The Squamish Paddling Club has been resurrected from the long-running local Kayak Club into an all-inclusive club for all the various facets of paddling; visit www.squamishpaddlingclub.com for more information.
